Drilling Supervisor Training Program – Level 1 & Level 2
The Drilling Supervisor Preparation Track is a structured development program designed to prepare experienced drilling personnel to transition effectively into supervisory roles on drilling rigs. The program combines classroom instruction, industry case studies, and simulator-based exercises to develop both technical expertise and operational leadership skills.

Level 1 focuses on building the core foundation required for the Drilling Supervisor role. Participants develop a strong understanding of supervisory responsibilities, well planning fundamentals, drilling operations management, and well control principles aligned with IWCF/IADC standards. The program also addresses common drilling challenges such as stuck pipe, lost circulation, hole cleaning, and NPT mitigation, supported by practical simulator scenarios.

Level 2 advances participants’ capabilities in operational oversight and technical decision-making. The program covers drilling reporting and documentation, casing and cementing operations, directional drilling monitoring, and advanced well control concepts, including equipment calculations and complex well control situations. Participants apply their knowledge through realistic simulator-based operational scenarios and problem-solving exercises.

Both levels conclude with written assessments and practical simulator evaluations, followed by structured feedback to support participants’ professional development.

📌 Outcome: Upon completion of the track, participants gain the technical competence, operational awareness, and leadership skills required to confidently perform the role of a Drilling Supervisor.
